South Bend Man Stunned to Win Harley

When Blackburn Romey attorney Tom Blackburn called Juventino “Mike” Paredes of South Bend on August 24 to tell him that he was the winner of a 2023 Heritage Softail Harley-Davidson, Paredes thought it was a scam.

“I couldn’t believe,” Paredes said. “But Tom kept talking to me and assured me it was not a scam, that I had won. He reassured me and told me that he had the title and would give it to me when I came to pick up the motorcycle,” Paredes said.

“When I told my co-workers and even my wife, that I had won the drawing, they didn’t believe me,” he said, laughing.

Paredes and his wife, Angelita, have five grown children, and Paredes is employed at a recycling service company in Niles, Michigan.  Paredes is thrilled with the new cycle, although he is waiting for his insurance coverage to kick in before he takes it out for a spin.

He has no definitive traveling plans, but says he and Angelita will definitely be biking in the near future.

Bike Giveaway Rules

1. You may register only once. If you register more than once, you will be disqualified. You will receive an email confirmation that your entry was received.
2. The registration deadline is Noon on August 24, 2023.
3. You must be at least 18 years or older. Age verification will be required prior to claiming the prize.
4. You must not be an employee or close family member of any employee of Blackburn Romey.
5. Registration is not limited to former or current clients of Blackburn Romey.
6. You must be a resident of Indiana or the neighboring states of Michigan, Ohio.
7. By entering, you consent to receive emails from Blackburn Romey. The email(s) will give you the option to be removed from this list.
8. The drawing will be held on August 25, 2023, at Noon, and the winner’s name will be posted on our website. The winner will also be notified by phone.
9. The winner must claim the prize in person within thirty days of notice.
10. The winner is responsible for any taxes, as well as title and registration fees.
11. The winner must give permission to Blackburn Romey to take photographs and to use their likeness for promotional purposes.
